nyc day 12: park

today started differently than the rest.

i went to the dentist! ngl i have not gone to the dentist in over a year which is very bad, but my top left gum felt inflamed so i booked an went over there. the dentist was actually really cool. he taught me a decent bit about my teeth and had me get a deep cleaning because i have plaque and tartar build up due to my lack of dental visits. we did the bottom half of my teeth because they had to use anesthesia to get under the gums.

he also showed me some of my teeth are flattened because i grind my teeth in my sleep (grind don't stop) and told me to wear my mouthpiece every night. he also informed me that my discomfort was caused from decay under a broken metal filling. the got my x-rays, numbed me up, and cleaned those bad boys. overall i actually really enjoyed my experience at the dentist because he was charismatic and educated me on my teeth, which was quite eye opening.

once i finished up at the dentist, i went to midtown and got my physical library card, which has spider-man on it (cool huh). now it's time to go somewhere new.

i took the f train to brooklyn and visited prospect park! this is one of nyc's best parks and it's huge. i rented a citibike and biked around the whole park, but i only got a glimpse of the outside. after biking, i got a vitamin water and started exploring on foot.

while exploring on foot, i decided that i was going to shoot a roll of film for my time at the park. after exploring creeks, ponds, lawns, boathouses, tons of trees and grass, i still hadn't finished shooting my whole roll. but while shooting, i met some friends! i talked one guy with his dog, went up to another photographer with a telephoto lens shooting a bird (with the camera), and the best of all: a group of teenagers approached me asking if they wanted to take a photo of them ☠️️️. I said yes and would send them the photo once I get them developed, but it was pretty funny and they were cool.

after exploring the park, it started raining on me so i took shelter under a bunch of trees until it stopped and headed home. and really that was it. i chilled and watched Game 3 of the NBA finals and called it a night. chill exploration day, talked to people and took some film photos. will upload the photos on a new page once i get them developed.
