day 25: doing things

i actually did things today!

i woke up this morning at 8:00 and walked my butt down to the local coffee shop to get out and do some work. I brought my laptop and started studying audit material for the CPA so I'm not a clueless wreck on my first day.

speaking of the new job, I booked my flight for training in Dallas for the last week of July which is exciting! I studied one module and and turned to figure out my spending because that was more interesting. I spent $17 on a sandwich and coffee, which was not ideal; however, it paid for my stay at the cafe and i think being productive is worth that. maybe i'll take the subway to the library next time.

i went back to the apartment around noon and really did not do much. I went over some ideas about the next video i am going to make. "How Much I Spent Moving to New York City" is going to be the title.

I'm envisioning the thumbnail to be me sitting down on the street with big numbers of what I spent behind me blurred out. I ate lunch and just hung out some more until I needed to touch some more grass. I walked all through the lower east side down to chinatown and got enough steps in to feel good. I then proceeded to feel like eating something different, so I found an easy recipe for pasta and made a creamy pasta sauce which looked very good, but i did not add enough tomato paste and it could have been more tangy. overall made some aesthetic rigatoni but execution tomorrow will be better. or whenever I make it again since we don't have big enough pots for a whole pound.

and that was about it. chill day, a bit productive. but want to do more. it's been gloomy and predicted to rain most of this week, but we'll see how the weather plays out. Hopefully it doesn't rain too much so I can still go out and frolic outside.

i felt like i did things today, (hence the title) but all i did was study one module, work on a video idea and get a better idea of the numbers, and make a new recipe. i guess that's not bad, but summarizing it up, I should be doing more! especially bc I'm unemployed ☠️
