52-55: work, film, & ready to leave

these past couple days have been chill.

i finished my first week of work which was just a bunch of onboarding and training, which there is definitely more to come. i'm happy going into work and meeting new friends. on thursday, i sat in a conference room with all my fellow new coworkers and did our online training on zoom.

we all went to lunch together which was super fun since i've never grabbed lunch with the coworkers before! i feel so corporate 😎 we got whole foods hot bar since cava and chipotle were ridiculously busy. it makes sense since there are tons of offices in the vicinity.

friday we worked from home and had a super light day. after work, anderson and i ate pad thai at the thai restaurant at the end of our block. not bad, but not better than banana bay. 7.5/10. later that night, i scouted different bars since we typically have one go to bar, which is nice but maybe there is better out there. didn't find better that night, but found a bar named "sweet and vicious" which is a block and a half from where we live. it's very girly pop.

i also went to a dive bar called "ray's" but it was a bit crowded and the crowd looked mid to late twenties, a little too old for me. other bars were also scouted than night but don't have too much to say about them.

saturday rolls around and i get to filming. i start filming an apartment tour but haven't quite completed it. also doesn't help that i will be gone for a whole week so that video for sure is not going to be completed soon. but i wanted to get back into shooting video and having the process be less daunting. i got a frame for my rothko print and hung that up and just chilled the rest of the day.

this brings us to today: sunday. today i packed. i'm going to dallas tomorrow morning for training for my new job. they fly out all the new associates from every office in the US and i'm excited to meet new friends! especially excited to talk to people from the Irvine office to get a taste of home! i'm ready to go on my first trip since moving here!
