48: american museum of natural history

"why am i sweating?"

i said this on my walk to the subway station to get to the american musueum of natural history. why did i say this? because it was pouring rain. i had an umbrella protecting me from an absolute downpour and i was sweating through my jeans. because it was 80 degrees with 90% humidity. make it make sense new york, you aren't hawaii

today i wanted to go to a museum and see the cool architecture so i went out first thing in the morning. i couldn't find the subway station at first but then learned that the C train also runs on the F train lines. good lesson!

i got to the museum and boy the line was long. i tried walking to the end of the line but it just kept going, i legitimately could not find the end. i eventually said "screw this" and walked back towards the front and snuck in the line. i already had a ticket so i darted straight in the museum after getting in the doors.

my first exhibit i headed to was the cafe. it's a french exhibit. i was starving and knew i wouldn't enjoy the museum if i was drained so i ordered a blueberry muffin and water which cost me like $11 but all good. i paid a penny to get in the museum.

after eating i made my way to the top to look at the dinosaurs. so cool! i then found my way to the part of the museum which made me want to come in the first place. the gilder center. the architecture just looks so interesting!

after taking a bunch of pics, i made my way to the rest of the museum which highlighted different cultures, insects, and gems & minerals. pretty good time! probably the third best museum in nyc i've been to behind the met and moma.

i went back home, ate, and bought ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies! we didn't have dry measuring cups so i winged a bit of the measurements and they did not turn out the greatest. like not the worst but i'm pretty sure chocolate chip cookies are supposed to be sweet. and these were not that sweet.

but all good, we'll make cookies again and they will be better.
