45, 46, & 47: exploration and skating
i've been lagging on these bad boys but day 45 i accidentally went to brooklyn.
here's how
i was skating towards the water from home to practice some pivot turns with my right foot. as i was on my way, i found a bike path that i had never down before. so naturally, i went down it. then i see the brooklyn bridge on my right and no entrance. I could have turned back but i've never skated across the brooklyn bridge so why not?
after getting to brooklyn, i skated around downtown since i had never been and ran into a bunch of skaters at this one spot so i joined them skating as i practiced ollies. after a couple hours, i got a blister and got tired so i went home and forgot what i did for the rest of the night.
day 46 i skated some more. i wanted to learn how to revert since i never had done it before so i went down to the pier at did so! honestly it wasn't hard since it's just a pivot turn but it was interesting and fun to do.
later that night, i went out with anderson's friend Ethan and a bunch of his college friends who were all super nice! we went to one of their houses to pregame, ran in the rain to the subway, and danced at the Delancy which was a very good time!
and that leads to day 47. i didn't really skate today but i went back to the dumbo flea market to check for any steals that were available. i decided to take the 45 minute walk across the manhattan bridge and it was very worth. it was a great view of the lower east side and the skyline. i have crossed the brooklyn, manhattan, and williamsburg bridge on foot (or skateboard) now and that's pretty cool.
the flea had some interesting things but i didn't end up copping anything. i went back home and gave myself a fresh cut for my first day of work on wednesday!
