43: fight?
the skate session before i witnessed the brawl

today we acquired some items

this morning i picked up a nice looking office chair from a guy named Douglas off facebook marketplace who owned an interior design firm. that was pretty cool, i had a look into his office and was on my merry way with a chair and $40 less dollars. thank you aunt carrie for the chair money.

after picking up the chair, i went to brooklyn to try some more pizza. a went to Luigi's Pizza in Park Slope because a tik tok comment said it was the best pizza in new york so i had to try it for myself. i skated there after taking the R train and it was cash only! luckily i had my debit card and they had an atm. I ordered a slice of pepperoni, a slice of pizza with mozzarella slices and pesto, and a slice of their detroit style pizza called the grandma.

the grandma was alright, the mozzerella was pretty good, but the pepperoni. the slice of pepperoni was probably the best regular slice of pizza i've ever had. it wasn't a "OMG this is the best slice of pizza i've ever had." it was an analytical "you know, this is probably the best regular slice of pepperoni pizza i've ever had."

and it was cheap too. i got 3 slices for 9.75. I guess that's not cheap but cheap for new york city. after my delicious experience, i headed back home and made a game time decision. i was deciding what i wanted to do with the empty floor space i have.

and i made a decision. i bought a loveseat. i feel like this is going to limit some space in my room and it was $300 that hurt my soul to spend, but I did it. I was thinking of either a loveseat or an accent chair and other things but ultimately, i couldn't see the vision with an accent chair. I also learned my lesson from the kitchen island to spend the extra $200 to get it delivered instead of carrying a whole couch across nyc. it will be a blue velvet loveseat and i think it'll look good. hopefully

after this, i went to study in the park and after studying for a bit until i got kicked from the park at 8:20pm. after studying, i was skating home until i realized it was such a nice evening so i went for a skate. i skated to a nice spot on a sidewalk where the light hit the one world trade center beautifully so i stopped to look while i changed my music. I was also listening to christmas music, it's that time of the year.

as i am standing on my skateboard, these three people approach me asking for directions to the nypd precinct on 6th. none of them had their phones on them and i ultimately got the directions for them and walked with them to the precinct until the directions got easier.

it seemed like there was a couple trying to go to the police station and this other girl was being helpful bystander. i chatted it up with the helpful bystander girl while the couple walked behind us.

as we were walking, the guy in the couple tries to chime in on our conversation and his girl starts yelling at him! honestly forgot what she said but i was like "that's weird" but i ignored it and kept walking. we kept talking and around halfway through, the girl i was talking to left because her family was at this restaurant so it was just me and the couple.

the guy says to me "aye she was feeling you, i think she liked you" and before i could even say anything, the girl shouts at him "WHY YOU TALKIG ABOUT ANOTHER B*TCH" and keeps yelling at him! the guy exclaims "i was just trying to make conversation!" 😭😭

we keep walking and she keeps yelling at the man and we get to one stop and SHE HITS HIM! she keeps punching him and the guy starts SWINGING BACK. I'm standing on the corner watching these two scrap and in my head i'm thinking "what do i even do here?" 😭

i didn't want to get involved in anything they were going through and i just said "hey the light is green let's keep going" and they stopped fighting ☠️. we walk to the last block where we are supposed to turn and we turn around and the girl is gone???

i gave the dude the rest of the directions and i skated home but that was so wild 😭 i got home and anderson and i grabbed chinese food and skewers to end the night but wow. what an interesting day
