40: apartment additions
i haven't had wifi for the last couple days and my hotspot was at it's limit so i'm posting this blog and two others today. i wrote this a couple days ago
I honestly forget what I did today. It seemed like I did nothing but then again, I did productive things today.
The day started with my first pickup: a step ladder. The cabinets here are high and I can’t reach one in my closet and a couple in the kitchen without a step ladder so I found one on fb marketplace on $20 and walked the sweaty hot humid mile over to grab it and go back
I thought I’d save my 2.75 both ways. the stepladder is perfect height for the cabinet above my closet so I put it to use and organized my whole closet. Surprisingly, my big luggage fit in the cabinet above so I don’t have to store my luggage under my bed frame.
Speaking of which, also came right after the step stool. I lugged it up the 4 flights of stairs into our apartment and got to building. The build was easy and I got it set up in no time. i bought a high bed frame to fit the luggage underneath it, but now that I don’t need it, it looks really funky imo. I don’t like how high it is but I already put it together and threw the box out, so I guess it’s staying.
I proceeded to buy some groceries at Whole Foods and make a nice chicken salad and learned more about cooking on a carbon steel pan. Apparently it’s like cast iron so you’re not supposed to use soap and water, you just gotta wipe the excess food off.
After that, I stayed in and started thinking of designs for my room. I want to print two Rothko paintings really big and put them on the wall. I also gotta figure where I’m going to hang my peg board and buy some more lighting because I’m not feeling the overhead lighting all that much.
Oh also I went to Home Depot again to buy some command hooks but they won’t hold my pegboard so I bought a stud finder. Lots of walking today, but that’ll go down because I’m picking up my skateboard tmr!
