35: move in!

today is special. we got the keys to the apartment.

but first, i woke up at 12:00pm since i stayed up late last night. i grabbed an avocado and mango for breakfast at the grocery store and started the day away from media. i then organized my things to get ready to take over to our new apartment, but move in wasn't until 5:30.

after making breakfast and organizing, i made a tik tok about my spending habits, which took surprisingly longer than i thought. i took about two hours and i remember thinking to myself "i'm so tired, i don't want to do this right now, i need a break from this" but i thought again "what else am i doing?"

we got the tik tok done and starting making lunch when anderson came over to grab his luggage from my place. i ate and it was 5:3o so we got ready to leave. it was raining outside but i didn't think it was that bad so i only wore a hoodie and gave my umbrella to anderson.

boy was i wrong.

i walked outside and it was pouring. my rain jacket was in my bag but at this point i was committed. and boy did i commit incorrectly. we stood waiting for the bus for about 10 minutes and in that time, i was drenched. my hoodie was soaked, my sweatpants were soaked, my socks were soaked, my shoes were soaked. it's like i went swimming.

the rain comes to a halt and ironically, the bus pulls up exactly when it stops raining. we make it to our apartment where we meet Larry for the keys. he shows us the building and shows us our apartment and it's now our apartment.anderson and i went chilled out on the fire escape and got to doing some measurements and planning the layout of our kitchen.

we took two film photos and hung out until he left to grab food. i decided to stay, organize the things i brought over, and take it all in.

i'm here. we moved. we have our own place. i'm actually here.

it's surreal and i like that. i walked back to the sublease since i don't have any place to sleep just yet and for the rest of the night, i have no plan. i might make some more potatoes and eggs for dinner just to finish off the groceries i have here, maybe i'll watch a movie. overall it was a great day. we got our apartment.
