29: guggenheim

29: guggenheim

i told myself that i would wake up and do things today.

and i did.

the day started with me being really hungry so i walked down to the grocery store to buy a ripe avocado for some avo toast, but all the avocados weren't ripe 😡 so i went back and settled for peanut butter toast

today's agenda was the solomon guggenheim museum. i got ready to leave for the museum until I received a notification about severe thunderstorms until 11:15. I thought to myself ,"I should wait to leave until at least 11:15". and wait i did.

i actually waited until 11:30 and was about to leave until I realized I was hungry again. I knew that I would buy food outside after I was done with the museum since I was already slightly hungry now so I made myself a classic grilled chicken salad with alfonso mango. and boy, the alfonso mango was delicious. i usually buy mexican mangos but i saw this delicious looking alfonso mango on tik tok that convinced me to get one. and now i am converted. alfonso mangoes for life. they are so sweet and aren't fibrous like mexican mangoes. aboslutley beautiful

after eating i finally left and took the metro up to the guggenheim and walked into what my mom calls the "toilet bowl museum". i went to pay for my ticket and asked "do you guys do the pay what you want like the Met?" The ticket attendee told me "no the city doesn't give us money" so I paid $25!!

not bad but i wanted to pay $1. all good i go inside and it's just like you see in the videos. you have the ramp that just swirls up through the exhibit which is super cool, i really like the architecture inside. the museum was a lot smaller than i expected and mostly featured artist, Gego, who used a lot of wire in their pieces.

the museum didn't take too long to get through so after like an hour or two i headed back home, hungry again! stopped by the grocery store and made some rigatoni again, this time with cherry tomatoes and this recipe is getting better and better each time i make it.

i swear ima be a perfect rigatoni chef soon. then after that i've just been chilling, watching videos, talking to friends, reviewing over my budget, and looking at lighting and other video tings. overall good day.
