day18: the met & jeremy's bday

today was museum day! and jeremy's birthday. happy bday jeremy 🀠

i chilled out in the morning, made some peanut butter raisin bread toast, and packed my cameras to take a trip to the Met. i hopped on the 6 train all the way up to the upper east side and trekked over to the edge of Central Park where the Met is. seeing the iconic building and steps for the first time with all the tourists was kinda cool

i hopped inside and saw a sign saying "no backpacks." this is the only day i brought my backpack. bruh. i asked the info desk about it, which the kind old lady pointed at the bag check and my day was saved. after checking in the bag, i went to the line for new york residents (crazy) because you can pay what you want for admission. tickets are normally $30 but i paid a solid $5. i considered paying $1 but maybe for another museum.

boy was the architecture stunning in the museum. the museum had artifacts and history for so many different cultures and each exhibit has specially designed rooms to fit the culture they were displaying. plus it was HUGE. i spent probably over 2 hours in the museum and got lost several times. it was stunning. truly one of the best museums i've ever been to. but after 2-3 hours in the museum, i was getting tired and hungry so i dipped out and took a walk back to the metro.

i stumbled back home after being suuuuper hungry because I'm not about to pay for these eating out prices here in the city. these prices are crazy expensive. i'll take the bit of suffering to make and eat my groceries. for lunch, i made my grilled chicken salad with mango and ginger dressing.

after lunch, i edited the photos i took at the met and posted them here and my photo ig @jdfliks :). they came out surprisingly well. i always see the photos on my small screen of the zve10 and think they came out bad LOL. but not bad, especially on this mac screen. chef's kiss 😚🀌

william called and i chatted with him and eventually my mom which was very nice. hi william. he told me he hasn't been keeping up with the blogs tho πŸ™„. that's okay, because he has read some, and that alone makes me happy

thank you friends for reading these, it really makes me feel loved and appreciated. I love and appreciate you all. it makes me feel nice when you comment, text, or even mention anything related to this blog. much love to you 😸😸
